While waiting for a high-tech device trial, and already having access to a GoTalk 20+ on loan, we adapted what was available to make it work in the meantime. Using a template overlay, and drawing on the child’s special interests alongside the vocabulary organization of TouchChat, a core page was created to support voice output. Flip pages were added to be secured at the top with zip ties, introducing early category navigation and provide opportunities to expand language without cumbersome level changes.
